Truck Tire Depth

New passenger vehicle tires typically have tread depths between 10/32 to 11/32 inches, depending on the type of tire. All-terrain tires, for example, will have deeper treads on new tires. See our tire tread depth chart.

New truck tires, on the other hand, tend to have deeper treads, ranging from 11/32 to 19/32 inches. The minimum tread depth for any tires, including trucks, is 2/32 inches. In fact, if your tire treads have reached 2/32 of an inch, they are considered unsafe and should be immediately replaced.
