Buying Guide for Truck Tires Online

Light trucks, including pickup trucks, are among the most powerful passenger vehicles that you can drive. With extra payload capacity, torque, and towing strength, these vehicles are popular both on and off the road. If you want to match your pickup truck with the best possible tire, you’ll have a lot of options, depending on your budget and how you drive.

Pickup trucks are built for handling tough terrain while hauling heavy loads. Because of this, some trucks will have larger wheels to increase the contact surface area while on rugged terrain. Other trucks serve as commuter vehicles, or to move goods like furniture and supplies across highways.

Shopping for all these different types of tires is far easier online, where you can explore all of your options and directly compare pricing between brands, models, and sellers. Tire Agent offers some of the best truck tires on the market, with dozens of sizes for your vehicle’s make and model. You’ll also find that when you buy truck tires online, you’ll be able to get higher quality tires with our easy payment plans. Shipping is always fast and free (continental US only).

Truck Tire Depth

New passenger vehicle tires typically have tread depths between 10/32 to 11/32 inches, depending on the type of tire. All-terrain tires, for example, will have deeper treads on new tires. See our tire tread depth chart.

New truck tires, on the other hand, tend to have deeper treads, ranging from 11/32 to 19/32 inches. The minimum tread depth for any tires, including trucks, is 2/32 inches. In fact, if your tire treads have reached 2/32 of an inch, they are considered unsafe and should be immediately replaced.

Find Truck Tires For Sale Online

We make it easy for you to find the best truck tires for sale online to fit your budget, vehicle and driving style. From any page on our site, select Shop Tires and Wheels.

Enter your vehicle information. Make sure you are 100% accurate when you identify your trim level, as one make and model of a car can have different factory-size rims, depending on the version of the vehicle. For example, a 2020 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD was made in five trims: Custom, High Country, LT, LTZ and WT.

After selecting your vehicle, you’ll be asked to verify your tire size. You may find that your make, model and trim level was made with different wheel sizes!

You'll be asked to confirm the size of your tire. In this example, there are four possible tires sizes for the make, model and trim of this truck.

You can find this information from the sidewall of your existing tires, or from the information stickers inside your truck. This post explains where to find your vehicle’s factory tire size.

Confirm your tire size and then include your ZIP code. Why do we ask for your ZIP code? Our tires are shipped from locations all over the United States, which is why we’re able to offer fast and free shipping. We want to find the best tires closest to you.

Our website will list all in-stock tires for your truck, and you can narrow your options by price, brand, warranty, tread type and a dozen other factors. Check out our tire deals page for the latest rebates, sales, offers and coupons.
