The unicorn. So out of your league.
It happens with tires, too. You think of high-quality brands like Pirelli and think, nope, those are only made for luxury vehicles, and mine definitely doesn’t fit into that classification.
Wrong.
Pirelli makes some of the most rugged tires that are perfect no matter your ride. If you’re looking for quality tires that can stand up to the harshest elements, Pirelli has what you need. No, they aren’t the best choice for drivers on a budget, but they are if you need a long-lasting tire that’s tough, reliable, quiet, and looks great.
We invite you to explore our easy payment plans, which can help put “unattainable” high-quality brands within your reach.
There are probably many points that you don’t know about Pirelli tires. Let’s look at some fun facts to help you better understand why this could be the brand for you.
Why are Pirelli tires good? 4 words: engineering, innovation, reliability, and ruggedness.
You might not think of Pirelli tires as being tough because they’re used on many luxury vehicles, including Audi, Lamborghini, and Maserati, to name a few. And, let’s be honest, if you own one of those luxury brands, you’re probably handling them with white gloves.
But Pirellis are tough and built for ruggedness. They are made to take a beating, with rubber compounds that meet or beat other brands in terms of durability and tread life. Looking at treadwear ratings alone, you can see Pirelli’s ruggedness.

But not being powerful is a misconception that needs to be eradicated. Pirelli has some of the most rugged tires you can buy, and they can take a pounding.
Not only are Pirelli tires available for your car, but they also have models perfect for motorcycles and even bicycles. They offer state-of-the-art technological solutions, including its specialties:
Pirelli is the top supplier to premium vehicles such as Aston Martin, Bentley, Ferrari, and Porsche. It also has an OEM supply agreement with Lamborghini, Maserati, McLaren, and Pagani vehicles. They all use Pirelli tires with special markings and characteristics.
So why do many elite carmakers rely on Pirelli tires? It’s simple. Pirelli Prestige is known for its perfect fit strategy, which creates made-to-measure tires specifically tailored to each vehicle’s technical needs.
Specifically marked tires for each manufacturer are critical. Pirelli’s perfect-fit tires have distinctive design characteristics regarding tread pattern, compounds, and internal structure. The personalization strategy is reflected via its Pirelli Color Edition, which was initially designed for F1 racing. However, the brand has hinted that Pirelli-colored tires might be coming to the consumer tire aftermarket.
Don’t worry SUV fans, Pirelli has you covered. If you’re looking for high-performance, all-season tires, look no further than Scorpions.
No, we’re not talking about arachnids. We’re talking about Pirelli’s rugged tires, like its Scorpion All-Terrain Plus tires. These tires deliver exceptional off-road performance and provide excellent handling and control on rocky, snowy, muddy, and soft terrains.
Here are some features that come with these bad boys:
This is just one Scorpion model to choose from. There are more than 12 Pirelli Scorpion tires in the Tire Agent catalog. And as you can see, these tires aren’t delicate. They are built to last, and you can beat the crap out of them. So don’t make another life mistake by avoiding things you think are unattainable. Be bold and take the bull by the horns.
The origin of Pirelli goes back to 1872 when Giovanni Battista Pirelli founded the company G.B. Pirelli & C. The company was liquidated and changed its name to Pirelli & C a year later. It began manufacturing tires in 1901.
But its famous slogan, “Power is Nothing Without Control,” wasn’t born until the mid-1990s. They first used the powerful tagline in a successful ad campaign featuring American athlete Carl Lewis.
Lewis was shown sporting a pair of red stilettos on the starting blocks before a big race. Annie Leibovitz shot the iconic photo in 1994, and the rest is history.
The image conveys a message that has stood the test of time and is anchored in the spirit of the product: tires. But at the same time, it escapes the confines of the physical. In life, as in your vehicle, “Power is Nothing Without Control.”
The Pirelli logo has a fascinating history dating back over 100 years. According to the Pirelli Tires official website, its logo was pretty basic in the early days. But after World War II, it evolved into the eye-popping trademark we know today.
As you can see in the image above, the Pirelli logo features a loop of the letter P stretched over the other letters of the name. It gives off a feeling that the P is made of rubber, and also of a race track.
Its history was traced back to Italian writer Vittorio Sereni, who worked for Pirelli magazine in 1958. The elongated P pays homage to Giovanni Battista Pirelli’s signature. That’s a pretty cool way to remember the company’s founder.
All this makes Pirelli tires seem unattainable, right?
Like the unicorn, the “one that got away,” Pirellis seem like they’re out of reach. Until years later, when you found out they’ve married the guy you worked with who reminded you of Quasimodo. You’ll never get over that life fail.
Likewise, you’ll never get over the life fail of overlooking Pirelli tires. You let the price tag scare you away. Then you read this article, found out that Pirelli is one of the best tire brands you can buy — top tier, high quality — and smart drivers put them on their vehicles.
And you realize, you know what? I deserve these.
